The Folk Implosion
The Folk Implosion is a duo - Lou Barlow and John Davis. The original run was from 1993 - 2000. Take A Look Inside, the
Kids Soundtrack, Dare to Be Surprised, and One Part Lullaby were the albums, with stray singles along the way. They reunited in 2021, released a single in the spring of 2022, and are working on a full length album.

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!!

been a fan of Lou, Sentrodoh and Sebadoh since I was first introduced to Lou through Dinosaur Jr. in the 80s. It was not until later that I truly appreciated the lofi goodness of his work. this album is a great first one if you haven't heard Lou solo.
